Homeward Bound!

Today is the day! It feels like the first day of the rest of our lives. A lot of nerves, a little apprehension, and a whole lot of excitement ❤️

As many of you know this has been an incredibly hard and long journey for Sam and I. And while it will never really be done as Grace goes home with hardware in her head and the story of an early start as a micro preemie, we know God will lead us and remain faithful through it all. Whatever IT is. We pray with hopeful and expectant hearts that Grace will have a long and fulfilling life, praising her Saviour with the voice he has blessed her with. Her life is a testimony to the miracles God performs and how He carries us through the darkest storms. As her parents, we recognize we live in a broken world and while we don't know what the future holds, we trust in a good Father who will give us strength for each new day.

We waited most of the day to get discharged. We passed the time by going for a stroll and picking up Grace's supplements from the pharmacy, one last visit and icecap to the Timmies, chilled in the Terra Cafe, and look care of Grace. Around 4pm we were notified that we could leave whenever we were ready. So we left immediately! 😂

Hannah's Prayer

(1 Samuel 2: 1-3)

And Hannah prayed and said, “My heart exults in the Lord; my horn is exalted in the Lord. My mouth derides my enemies, because I rejoice in your salvation. “There is none holy like the Lord: for there is none besides you; there is no rock like our God.
